The triggering-of-deglaciation conjecture in the glacial cycles model

From papers

Consider the autonomous system of equations and its equilibria, classified as regular, boundary, or virtual according to their location relative to the switching boundary. Triggering-of-deglaciation conjecture. If an equilibrium of the autonomous system is either regular or a boundary equilibrium and is sufficiently close to the switching boundary, then time-dependent forcing through QQ and s2s_2 causes the equilibrium to become virtual. The claim proposes a mechanism for forced deglaciation near the switching boundary; no proof or resolution is supplied in the text.
