Formal smallness and torsoriality conjecture for Gen

Let Gen\text{\bf Gen} be the category of topological spaces under consideration, equipped with its pseudoétale and torsorial topologies. The formal smallness conjecture. The pseudoétale topology for Gen\text{\bf Gen} meets the smallness axiom for a categorical topology. The torsorial topology does not meet the smallness condition, but does satisfy condition (11) of the cited earlier work.

This conjecture identifies the sole formal obstruction to applying the plus construction to Gen\text{\bf Gen}; the source provides no resolution.
