Marden's tameness conjecture
Marden's tameness conjecture
Let be a hyperbolic -manifold with finitely generated fundamental group. The interior of a compact manifold with boundary is a topological model for a tame hyperbolic -manifold. Marden's tameness conjecture. The manifold is homeomorphic to the interior of a compact manifold with boundary. The source says that Agol's proof, together with an independent proof by Calegari and Gabai, settled this conjecture and helped clarify the structure of hyperbolic -manifolds.
