The nonpolygonality conjecture for the L-tetromino growth form

An L-tetromino tiling is a tiling by L-shaped tetrominoes, and its growth form is the asymptotic shape obtained from its coordination shells. L-tetromino nonpolygonality conjecture. The growth form of the L-tetromino tiling is not a polygon. This is presented as an experimentally motivated conjecture; the paper does not establish whether the growth form exists or determine its shape analytically.
