The torsionfree Cannon conjecture

Let GG be a torsionfree hyperbolic group. The torsionfree Cannon conjecture. If the boundary of GG is homeomorphic to S2S^2, then GG is the fundamental group of a closed hyperbolic 33-manifold. This is presented as the torsionfree form of the Cannon conjecture; the source gives no separate resolution status.
