The Whitehead double sliceness conjecture
The Whitehead double sliceness conjecture
Let be a knot in , and let its Whitehead double be the knot obtained by applying the Whitehead double operation to . Whitehead double sliceness conjecture. The Whitehead double of is slice if and only if is slice. This is presented as an open conjecture and is an orientable analogue of the paper's result that twisted Whitehead doubling does not preserve non-orientable sliceness.
