Hedden's Whitehead-doubling sliceness conjecture

Let KS3K\subseteq S^3 be a knot, and let Wh±(K)Wh^\pm(K) denote its positive or negative clasped, untwisted Whitehead double. Hedden's Whitehead-doubling conjecture. The knot Wh±(K)Wh^\pm(K) is smoothly slice if and only if KK is smoothly slice. The forward implication is an open question generalising the sliceness questions for Whitehead doubles of the left-handed trefoil and figure-eight knot; the reverse implication is immediate from the satellite construction.
