Commanding conjecture for virtually special cubulated groups

Let GXG\curvearrowright X be a virtually special cubulated group, and let a collection of subgroups of GG be almost malnormal if distinct subgroups in the collection have finite-intersection conjugates. Assume the collection consists of convex subgroups. Commanding conjecture. Every virtually special cubulated group GXG\curvearrowright X commands every almost malnormal collection of convex subgroups. This would extend the established theorem for virtually special hyperbolic groups and its relatively hyperbolic analogue to the non-hyperbolic setting; the conjecture remains open.
