Iyengar–Ma–Walker Dutta multiplicity conjecture

Let RR be a local ring with maximal ideal, and let FF be a short complex supported on the maximal ideal. Write χ(F)\chi_{\infty}(F) for the Dutta multiplicity of FF. Iyengar–Ma–Walker Dutta multiplicity conjecture.

χ(F)e(R).\chi_{\infty}(F)\geq e(R).

This is the second multiplicity conjecture introduced by Iyengar, Ma, and Walker. The source presents it as an open conjecture relating Dutta multiplicity to the multiplicity of the local ring.
