General strength equals general slice rank conjecture

Let $f$ be a general form of degree $d\geq2$ in $n+1$ variables. Write $\mathrm{str}(f)$ for its strength and $\mathrm{sl.rk}_{n,d}^\circ$ for the general slice rank in degree $d$ on $n+1$ variables. General strength conjecture.

$$\mathrm{str}(f)=\mathrm{sl.rk}_{n,d}^\circ.$$

The conjecture asserts equality between the general and maximal strength and the corresponding slice-rank value. Its status is not resolved in the source.
