Furstenberg-type periodicity conjecture for even parameters

Let EE denote the set of even integers, let kEk\in E, and let nn be an integer. The periodicity conjecture. The nn-orbit is periodic. The preceding analysis shows divergence for odd kk except at specified fixed points, while the behavior for even kk is suggested by the examples; establishing periodicity for every integer nn remains open.
