Exposed-circuit reformulation of Simon's conjecture

Let KndK_n^d denote the complete dd-clutter on vertex set [n][n]. A dd-clutter is a family of dd-element subsets, called circuits; an exposed circuit is a circuit whose associated face can be removed according to the exposed-circuit operation. Suppose that C{\mathcal C} is obtained from KndK_n^d by a sequence of removing exposed circuits.

Exposed-circuit reformulation of Simon's conjecture. Then C{\mathcal C} contains an exposed circuit.

This is presented in the source as a reformulation of Simon's conjecture, connecting extendable shellability with sequences of exposed-circuit removals. The source gives no resolution status.
