Exposed-circuit reformulation of Simon's conjecture
Exposed-circuit reformulation of Simon's conjecture
Let denote the complete -clutter on vertex set . A -clutter is a family of -element subsets, called circuits; an exposed circuit is a circuit whose associated face can be removed according to the exposed-circuit operation. Suppose that is obtained from by a sequence of removing exposed circuits.
Exposed-circuit reformulation of Simon's conjecture. Then contains an exposed circuit.
This is presented in the source as a reformulation of Simon's conjecture, connecting extendable shellability with sequences of exposed-circuit removals. The source gives no resolution status.
