Wise's non-positive immersions coherence conjecture

From papers

Let XX be a compact 2-complex with non-positive immersions.

Wise's conjecture. The fundamental group π1X\pi_1X is coherent.

This conjecture was stated by Wise and was used conditionally in earlier work on coherence. It remains open; the paper proves coherence for one-relator groups with torsion without resolving the conjecture in general.
