Equality of connective constants for knot and knotoid shadows

Let sknsk_n be the number of nn-crossing knotoid shadows, let μI\mu_I be the connective constant for knot shadows, and let μK\mu_K be the connective constant for knotoid shadows. Equality of connective constants. The connective constants for knot shadows and knotoid shadows are the same. That is,

limnskn1/n=μI=μK.\lim_{n\to\infty}sk_n^{1/n}=\mu_I=\mu_K.

This conjecture concerns the exponential growth rates of knot and knotoid shadows; the paper presents numerical data related to it.
