Conjecture on compositions of left and right interleavings
Conjecture on compositions of left and right interleavings
Consider suitable left and right interleavings of persistence modules and compositions of these interleavings. An interleaving is the usual equivalence notion for persistence modules.
Composition conjecture. Any composition of suitable left and right interleavings yields an equivalence with interleavings.
The conjecture is motivated by the interpretation of left and right interleavings in terms of shortening and lengthening barcode intervals. The source gives no resolution.
