Non-realizability of the spun Kishino torus
Non-realizability of the spun Kishino torus
Let be the Kishino virtual knot, and let be the generalized spinning construction. Non-realizability conjecture. The virtual -knot is not realizable as a classical knot. The source notes that either this gives a nontrivial classical torus knot with infinite cyclic knot group or it is a non-realizable virtually knotted torus; the conjecture selects the latter possibility.
