Vertex-splitting conjecture for circuits and global rigidity in 3-space

Consider vertex splitting in a three-dimensional framework, with both the added vertex and the split vertex at least 44-valent. Vertex-splitting circuit conjecture. The operation preserves circuits and global rigidity in 33-space. The source motivates this by the known two-dimensional result, but leaves the three-dimensional assertion as a question.
