Versality detected by Sylow subgroups
Versality detected by Sylow subgroups
From papers
Let be a finite group acting faithfully on a variety . For each prime , let be a Sylow -subgroup of . Sylow versality conjecture. The variety is -versal if and only if, for every prime , is -versal. This would extend the corresponding result for complete non-singular toric varieties to arbitrary varieties, using that versality is a birational invariant.
