Bers' slice non-local-connectivity conjecture

Let $S$ be a surface, and let a Bers' slice for $S$ be the corresponding quasifuchsian deformation slice. Bers' slice conjecture. If $S$ is not a punctured torus or a $4$-times punctured sphere, then every Bers' slice for $S$ is not locally connected. This extends the paper's non-local-connectivity result to other Bers' slices; the source gives no proof or resolution.
