Visible satellite torus conjecture for semi-adequate diagrams

Let D(K)D(K) be a semi-adequate diagram of a satellite link KK. Visible satellite torus conjecture. Either D(K)D(K) or its mirror image can be obtained using the construction described in Example; in particular, the satellite torus must be visible in D(K)D(K) as the regular neighborhood of an immersed annulus. The claim proposes a structural characterization of semi-adequate satellite diagrams, but the source provides no evidence of a resolution.
